Barber's Rash
Shaving Tips . . .

Use warm water to soften the skin and hairs before shaving; shaving right after a shower.
Apply shaving cream in the opposite direction of hair growth (usually upward), moisturizing your skin as well as the hairs.
Shave in the direction of hair growth (usually downward).
Don't stretch your skin taut.
Always rinse your razor thoroughly after each use and replace the blades every week.

I have the same problem. I put it down to just having really sensitive skin, i've trid all the so called special creams and lotions and nothing has worked.
Electric shavers aren't bad though - not as many bumps and lumps there
Try waxing, you don't have to do it as often, and you don't get ingrown hairs. That's what I do. The first time hurts(like plucking eyebrows) but after while it sort of fades. Waxing is MUCH better than shaving, but I've been forced to shave after I ran out of waxing cloth(I use a home kit so I don't have strangers waxing my bikiniline....that's just creepy).
Try using a sharp multi blade razor like a Schick Quatro. And then use some aftershave. It worked for me, and my skin doesnt get as irritated as it used to. Cheap razors will really irritate my skin, but cheap shaveing cream seems to irritate my skin the least.
i use this stuff called SkinTight, but im black...ur probably white but it works for me, maybe u should check it out...and i know Gillete has these new razors out for sensitive skin, but ur problem is VERY normal
Have you tried any products from Lush, they do fab shaving lotions and they're all natural too.I've been using them and my itchyness and shaving rash cleared up straight away. if youre not sure which one you can ask one of the assistants or mail order. oo sounds like im a walking typing Lush advert. but seriously they work.
dont shave have a beard
not an add
Using a Mach 3 helps a lot. I just switched to cheap single-blades and get a lot more irritation. There's a condition called sebhorretic dermititis (spelling?), basically crazy lot of shaving bumps, that can actually be alleviated by only shaving every couple days and by getting this prescription selenium shampoo. If it's just regular shaving bumps though, a sharp multiblade razor and not shaving quite as much should help. You don't wanna let it get full-on beard lenght between shaves though, or you'll get bumps every time.
Try burning your facial hair, it works fine....

Yeah real well

Trust me on this one, it does

Alright fine, so it doesn't. Do not listen to me.
