Who says it's your choice to make? They're not going to stop having a baby because YOU don't NEED one.

Yeah I get the picture. Obviously a lot of kids/teens do not want another extra sibling. But I don't think you have to go to that extreme, well I hope you don't. The best way to deal with it is first off, you have to get over that the baby is being born. You have no other choice but to accept him/her. And secondly, since you are the oldest, you've got to make sure you're a good role model and that you are not mean to the baby just because you are selfish and don't like him or her. It will just cause major problems.

Jellousy is a terrible thing. I sugest you wait until the event has happened and see how you feel then. If you stil feel the same way, just keep some distance between you and the baby. However, doing my nearly trick here and reading between the lines, are you sure it is the baby you don't want or am I close to the mark saying perhaps it is your stepmother?? Have you considered how big a jump she made taking on some one elses children? It is no mean task let me assure you. I think if you try to see her as a friend rather than a replacement for your natural mother, you may well find it easier to cope with the rest of it. There is little doubt in my mind that she would like to be your friend. Give her some support because I can assure you, she will almost definately be there for you when she is inevitably needed.
Good luck and try not to stress out too much about it. I've been around a good while and know what I have said makes sense.

Have you considered that you may feel very differently about the baby once it is born? I can understand your desire to leave things as they are -- change is always difficult -- but since the baby will be a part of your life whether you want him/her to be or not, you may as well try to find something positive in it.

I'm hoping that you may have some friends who have been through a similar experience and who can share their coping methods with you. I really do hope this will work out for you and that you'll consider writing back after the baby has been born -- good luck.
