Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Runners out there...
I'm obsessed with running. I use to exercise differently, however with a torn achilles tendon and subsequent surgical repair, my body's unable to compete with those with better lateral movement. Running is pretty straight forward (pun intended). I've been getting into running over the last 5 years and have taken the plunge of running in 5K, 10K, half marathons, and one marathon in the last couple of years. I'm late 40's. Is this pretty near normal for those of you like moi?? :)

That is a very good achievement to leap from 5km. to a marathon within 5 years, considering that it can take upward of 6 months to prepare for a marathon. I occasionally give it a shot, but, although it keeps me fit, i really suck some serious balls when it comes to racing, cbf'd bothering the timekeepers lol. Late 40's, you should keep going, i've heard of people in their 70's still doing marathons, looking to complete 100 b4 they die, great challenge
that'll teach you to go hiking in bear country with someone else
