You can do so much with eggs and potatoes.
Eggs - boiled, fried, scrambled, poached, made into an omelette, etc.
Potatoes - boiled, mashed, baked, roast and chips.
I'd have to agree with fried egg and chips. Although I really like any combination of these ingredients. Except for hash browns, which I don't like and that weird thinly sliced, under cooked potato you get in some french foods
