Crazy for crying?

Every once in a while, I will hear a song that will make me start to cry. I have no control over the crying, either, it just happens - sometimes at really dumb moments, like chilling at a friend's house, eating out at a restaurant, etc. And it's usually always a very sad, moving song. I'm female, not depressed, and I don't take any medication. To me, randomly weeping upon hearing only a few moving notes seems a little off.
Do you think it's normal?

SAD SONG

I do the exact same thing. Sometimes a single crescendo moves me more than a sad photograph. I also tend to attach a lot of meaning to the media I surround myself, so certain songs will always remind me of certain people. I think it is completely normal.
Sweet heart your completley normal! I cry evertime I hear Whitney Houston's "I will always love you."
I think I might have cried to some song by the Beatles once. But then I was being a pussy about some girl who didn't like me.
em yes its called being female
and its weird
I had a girlfriend like that once. It was mostly when she was just about to have her period. She would get all emotional, and she would also get mad real easy.
hey
you listen to too much emo
I did that over dinner with a friend once at a resturant. The song that was playing was "W Anyway, I think that I was crying at that time not because of the song, but because my friend told me that had she had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. I guess that song just triggered it. --I'm sure that your situaton was different from mine , But we as women think and feel more than men do. So yes, to answer your question, You sound pretty normal.

About my last message..
I had a typo in my last comment; I accidently pushed "submit" before I was finished typing. I meant to say that song that was playing was "Wind Beneath My Wings" by Bette Midler.
Oh, totally normal!

I do the same thing with "Concrete Angel", "When September Ends", and "Have I told you Lately that I Love You?"

I'm 30 and male, and your random crying seems a little off to me too. I haven't really known anyone in my life who was like that. Though I'll also admit that the idea that music just moves you more than the average person makes it kind of plausible.

I do hope it's good music. If you're sobbing whilst listening to kiss fm, I'm kicking your ass.
theroxyne deficiency causes random, seemingly unexplained crying.

Maybe you should have your blood checked, see if itīs normal.

it's not garden-variety normal but i personally think that it's sort of adorable how you can cry at a song at a random moment. don't worry, consider it a gift.
Our emotions are crazy half the time.. it happens..

Angel
I tend to cry at certain songs as well.
Mainly because they are so unbearable to listen to because they are utterly rubbish.
Mostly they are by crappy fabricated bands and musicians.

If you're crying at a song for any other reason then consider listening to opera instead.
awwwwwww... get over it you pussy
