People usually assume that monday is the begining of the weel coz its the 1st weekday. The real astrological 1st day of the week is sunday. This leaves friday and saturday as the only true weekends.

In the Middle East from what I heard the Weekend is Friday and Saturday hence Sunday their first day of the week.

For me I would consider Monday as the first day of the week.

umm, this sounds stupid to me. A weekend is supposed to be a day of rest. From a religious point of view, this is deffinetly sunday. Monday-Sat, god made the world...sunday he rested. This would not only make sunday a resting day, but also THE LAST DAY. BAM weekend.
