What is INN about?

If you check my profile you will realize it's been a while since I have been on. Know why?
Because while there are some good people that mean well, there are some real stupid ignorant arrogant people on here.
Will I stay on here? maybe a day or two. Then I will probably say screw it for a while again.
Some of that crap that goes on isn't even close to being funny. There are a couple, like Stargirl, that mean to be helpful. Others try to condemn her

Really, I think that people who have a serious issue/problem should NOT be afraid to post. I mean, when I first came here, I read a few posts and realized that there were some people on here who just liked to screw around. I realized that they were anonymous and so I figured, why not post on ehre? Because I knew that there were some good people out there that'd help me. So to all you newcomers, do nto be afraid, peopel are here to help! It's jsut that you have to weed out the bad comments and just ignore them. That's what I do.

And I'm actually happy for what the site has for me because I had made many posts i nwhich i needed good advice. And to my surprise, like 75% of the posts were helpful and I used the advice and it has helped me out a bit.

So before you go bashing it/hating it folks, Isitnormal aint all that bad. I think the key to it all is that you have to be sincere when you're posting: use correct language, punctuation and do not sound like you're faking it!

That's what I was trying to say..you put it out allot more plain!

well sure there are a lot of people here who abuse the place and I myself have posted numerous fake stories BUT I think a free and open website works much better than one full of heavy handed moderators.

You only have to go to one of those dead moderated websites to see how fun this place actually is.new posts always coming in and if mods were here and got rid of what they deemed inappropriate stuff youd maybe not have any new stuff for days or weeks.

all you people calling for moderators just might regret it if it actually happens.

You could be right but, with an open eye to freedom of speach AND hate posts, some improvements surely COULD be made.

I have tried the email ans the feedback links. Both were returned to me as "undeliverable"

you cant argue for free speech and getting rid of hate posts at the same time.Free speech is free speech.


Sure the hate stuff is stupid but if everyone skipped over it and gave no responses it would soon die out.

attention is what the posters of such crap are wanting and when we validate them by responding they get reinforcement to post even more.

I have no objection to including his address here, but the one making the suggestions for improvement was me and not Udi. He doesn't even understand how the flags are being used/abused.

But I think Slack has the best take on the situation. Free speech is an important byproduct of a free society. I don't like about 75 percent of what I see here, but I'm free to ignore those posts and I'm also free to take up membership at another forum. Banning people here is a complete joke because they just come back under new aliases (or aliASSES). We must suffer fools if we are to encourage a free exchange of ideas.
