Jehovah's blood spilt.

Ok, so i read this story about a female who was giving birth to twins. She had loads of blood loss and with a transfusion she would die but she was a Jehovah's Witness as were all her family. Now the doctors/ midwives were pleading with the family to over-rule the woman in labour and let them give her blood to save her life. As you probably know, Jehovah's witness's are against blood transfusions. There is actually some blood plasma thingy which takes the lost blood and cleans it then direcs it back into the patients body but there was not enough time for this to be done. The family just let her fuckin die ! The husband, the mother, the father, the fucking siblings !!! They just sat there like fuckin slackjawed mongols refusing to over-rule the descision to not give her blood.

What do you think ? Is that fuckin normal ?

It's their belief that they must reject blood, due to the fact that the (Leviticus I believe) law strictly forbids the drinking and ingesting of blood, and they view blood transfusions to be close enough to ingesting blood to reject it. I don't think they are right or wrong in the matter, but they are certainly entitled to die for their beliefs if they deem it worthy. People all over the world die for their beliefs every day, and there is seldom so much outrage.

I don't agree with them allowing their kith and kin to die when they could be saved BUT it is their belief and if they are prepared to die for it, well, then thats one less of them.
