Yes, "interesting" it has been! It sounds like things will quiet down a bit now that Gretchen has apparently been ousted. However, I have no doubt she'll be back in another guise some time in the near future. Believe it or not, I feel sorry about the whole thing. She was either trying to create a "funny" persona and just wasn't very good at it, or she was completely insane. Either way, I wish I could have been more understanding. I just ran out of patience after a while. There are several "proceed with caution" buttons that I have, and she managed to press every damn one of them; LOL.

Well, I hope your turkey day is a good one. I'll be traveling to Mendocino County to be with my dad and step-mother. Should be pretty nice, actually. (Don't tell anyone, but I have NEVER made a turkey dinner in my entire life -- shameful!)

Well,from what i have read so far i can defiantly see how that girl could get on your last nerve. You sure held your cool much better than i would have good for you.

I hope you enjoy your visit with step mom and dad. I myself have always considered Thanksgiving my stay at home holiday. I put the turkey in the oven and while its cooking i sit around watch football and drink beer. I love Thanksgiving!

Jan if you ever do get stuck being the cook just remember to get a oven bag and some Stove Top stuffing read the directions and cook you will be very popular with friends and family.lol

Not sorry about not using an alias, actually. It was a well-written post, though angry. Calling her the cunt of the month was clever, I thought, though spiteful. I could tolerate what she had to say about me, but I'm DAMNED if I could take ragging on people for things they can't change, such as crippling illnesses, HIV, and such. She was a diseased bitch careening down a hill in a loose cannon, and although I made a pretty speech ABOUT free speech, I think she was clearly abusing the definition.

I have regrets because I prefer to be a nice guy when I can, but I still think she deserved it. I just wish it had come from Stargirl, since such vitriol is somewhat more expected from her ;-)

And a happy turkey day to you as well! (I always call it Murdered Bird Day.) I've never cooked a turkey in my life -- I'm spending the day with family on the north coast. It's a four-hour drive, and I hope the weather will hold. I will think of you and the maniac crew of IIN as I enjoy the brisk sea breezes and the semi-coherent ramblings of a dad who is older than God and dirt combined.

It's LostGuy, I'm absolutely sure of it. He's posted crap about me all over the place. I'm getting very close to just calling it quits here. Not worth it. Sorry; but over 200 abusive flags for being honest? The guy is completely insane. Doesn't it bother you that he's been defaming your character for the past few months or more? I mean, what he's been saying, in my opinion, goes WAY beyond freedom of speech, particularly when he posts pedophiliac posts himself. It's so frigging ridiculous.

Hey, I appreciate it. People like you really DO make the site worthwhile. Here I just saved a really LONG rant that I had prepared for Mr. twathead because I just don't feel like going through another Gretchen fest twice in one week. Too draining.

But I have reported him to Udi. It seems to have worked for Gretchen, not just because of me, I'm sure. It's fine that people cuss each other out, and I've had abusive flags before and derogatory comments. However, the accusations of pedophilia, in my mind, are quite serious, especially for the new members. When I first saw them directed at you, Cabby, and (I can't remember the other member), I actually thought they were serious and I was really alarmed. I couldn't understand how the site owner could POSSIBLY allow you and the others to continue to stay on here because the post was that convincing to me. Also, his claims of being a police officer -- that can't possibly be legal. I know this is "just" the internet, but again, impressionable people visit here, and not all of them are underage.

Thanks for listening to me rant. I'm a highly emotional person at times. My one and only real hobby aside from family and pets is writing, and I have to admit I take it way too seriously at times. I could probably take a cue from the rest of you and learn to look at the lighter side once in a while. (P.S. If you look at my posts closely enough, I make plenty of errors myself; LOL. I've become a terrible editor of my own work lately.)
