Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Sometimes it stinks down there. Girls only please.
When ever I get my period it stinks down there. I have a new bf and I don't want to be around him if that happens. How do you make it less smelly when you have a period. I can't get tampons in so is there another alternative? I've tried and followed the directions with Tampons but I just can't do it.
HELP!
My period is starting in a week. I can't be around him if it stinks.

I'd suggest the following:

(1) Frequent changes of pads. Use the microfiber type that allow the moisture to drain away from your body to a layer beneath the pad that actually touches your body. That should cut down on some of the odor and allow you to remain dryer.
(2) Avoid the scented pads. Even if you have an odor problem, there is absolutely nothing worse than bad menstrual odor combined with a perfumed scent. It's one or the other, but not both.
(3) Change the pads frequently, particularly if you tend to flow heavily. And carry a supply of sanitary wipes in your purse, like those used for hemorrhoid cleansing (Tucks) or baby wipes (Huggies) or a similar product for feminine cleansing. These will keep the area much cleaner than a simple wipe-down with toilet paper can accomplish.
(4) If the odor is very unpleasant, you really should see a gynecologist, particularly if there is any kind of additional discharge or sore, wart, or other lesion in the vaginal or rectal area.
(5) If you're eager to use tampons, there are ways to use them that should not cause you undue discomfort. The ones with the plastic applicators are best for this purpose. However, the pads are really best for you from a health perspective, so until you feel you are ready to try tampons, why not give the above suggestions a try and see if this doesn't help? If not, I hope you'll see your Ob-Gyn doctor and see if s/he has some additional suggestions for you.

Good luck!
try *tampax pearl* tampons if the others don't work. Those are the best and easiest.
