Is It Normal?
What do you think?
feel so alone
Is it normal to feel like im the only one out there that still believes in god and the bible? I mean everyone i talk to has no morals what so ever. They all think that life is a big game and they can do whatever the hell they want. They believe abortion and gay marriage is ok. Its so crazy even my parents are like this. They say the G** D**n word in like everyother sentence. I hate that word it makes me sick to my stomach when i hear it. Even people on the internet they all seem to have democratic views and hate all us republicans and President Bush who is doing wonderful things for this country by the way. I mean it makes me kind of feel bad that i do believe in a way. because its seems like society doesnt accept religion anymore. But i know just because nobody else believes anymore i shouldnt lose my faith. i feel so alone. This world is becoming so evil nowadays im not even sure if i even want to live in it. My friends are always trying to get me to do things i shouldnt. And because of this i dont have many friends anymore. They are such bad influences on me and i dont want to slip and end up being just like them. I was just wondering if there is anyone on this site that thinks the same way i do?? And i much rather not hear from you gay people because i already know what you are going to say. If you have a smart ass comment keep it to yourself thanx.

Maybe you don't like your looser friends because you got along with more normal people who went about life like you, not some little divs. and you like to be the individual by saying you belive when deep inside you don't. all this gay sins and all this lol its funy how all my friends, (people who talk about you and say your a biatch) don't think this and all the nobodys with shit lifes do, wiud that. very wiud lol.
@: Gosple
Sorry to tell you this...
God is dead, kid. There is no god anymore and even if there is, he doesn't give a shit about anyone. You'll find this out the hard way, that I'm sure of.
good for you, if you still believe.

many people have reasons not to, i dont but i still have morals on things

I once worked with a person at work who believed to such a high extent, he told me so much about god that i couldn't help but start to believe. he was so convincing in the way he preached to me, its funny because ever since he started to make me believe, all of my mental problems came, if someone truely does make you believe it is much harder for the brain than not believeing, I still see myself believing just through this one respectable old man called barry, i realy do think that god should not be believed in, and if someone trys to turn you into a spiritual person through god and some people are realy good at that tell them no you arn't intorested because it didn't do me any good ceriusly the hole way of which i was looking at life was different and people i think noticed this, i told people i believed i probably looked stupid at a young age but if anyone else listened to people as i did you two would believe through holy preaching people, you would think it gives life a meening but it doesn't i have lived as a spiritulist at a young age and honestly it isn't the way to go not if u truely believe in everything, the world isn't a beutifull creation and life isn't perfect, don't be miss led through religion because i was and i started seeing life different and it isn't good. its fine to believe to a certain level but don't be miss led, some people are fixated on god and will try to make you the same if you work etc round one, Don't be miss lead this might sound stupid but its true.

I havn't been baptized and barry would tell me that i need to go and get my soul saved because if i don't i won't go to heavon and through him making me believe i it made me quite messed in all of it and made me think about thing that a young person shouldn't be believing in, don't make my misstake and tell people to keep there thorts on god to there selves trust me. The power of a preaching person is fare stronger than you would thing there isn't many around now but you may bump into a few in life.

I believe
I hear you! As a believer in God (as I am) you will find that some people don't believe, or if they do, they don't really show it and end up doing things that go against what you think is moral (such as using God's name in vain or homosexuality or stealing, etc.) But what really matters is what YOU believe. There are MANY who DO believe in God and some believe more strongly than others and this may account for some of the loose viewpoints that provade society. An old hymn has some lyrics that address the point that we (as believers) are just "passing through" this journey here on earth; our real reward will come when we meet our Creator in heaven. God loves everyone, because God IS love. God loves the sinner but hates the sin. Follow what the Bible says as far as being "born again" and you will have confidence that when your journey on this earth is over that you will be with God eternally; the other choice is eternity in hell. This is real stuff, and each one of us needs to make that decision to believe or not to believe.

Get involved with your church and various groups at your church; they will provide believer friendships that will allow you to be more confident in your beliefs and realize that the only hope in this world IS God. Think about it!
There are many others out there like you. I am a Christian myself and have strong moral values. It just concerns me that you have fallen for the phony neo-conservative rhetoric that has people believing this administration is Christian and Conservative. The Bush administration is neither! If you would pay attention to what they DO rather than what they SAY, you would realize it as well.

Bush dresses in black robes and worships Moloch (a demon) in pagan rituals involving mock human sacrifice.

Dont believe me.. Then visit this link..

Bohemian grove
my oppion is god is just as likley to exist as a flying monster made of meatballs.
I had a flying monster made of meatballs when I was a kid.. But my mom didnt let me keep him.
I am a 23 yr. old from New Jersey. I have a very deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ. And, believe me, there are still plenty of people who do. I think it is wonderful that you take your relationship with Christ so seriously, and that you are willing to stand by your convictions, regardless it if is the popular route these days. But, I really feel the need to share some things about my faith with you. In your post you make mention towards homosexuals, abortions and such. As a christian, it is NOT your responsibility to point out other peoples' faults. When Jesus came down to the Earth, he did not go around criticizing everyone. And, those he did criticize, he did only AFTER they criticized him. Look at the story about the samaratin woman at the well. By all accounts, this woman was a social outcast, an immoral black mark on her society. Yet, Jesus went out of his way to meet her at that well. And, he sat and talked with her for hours. He didn't judge her because she had been married and divorced many times. Nor did he judge her for living with a man that wasn't her husband. Instead, he recognized the fact that she needed salvation, and he gave it to her. Is homosexuality a sin, yes. Is abortion a sin, yes. But, so is gossiping, lying, stealing, gluttony, slander, hate, loving money, etc..., the list goes on. Everyone sins and falls short of the glory of God. There is no one blameless, no, not even one. You have sinned, I have sinned. We did today, and we will tomorrow. That is just the way it is. Don't spend your time seeking out other peoples shortcommings. Don't spend your time looking for ways to condem others. Instead, share your faith, and when you recognize a lost soul, try to find a way to help them. That is what pleases God, when we love one another, unconditionally, and when we help each other faithfully. Good christians who go to church on Sundays, and who read the word daily, and who pray faithfully are not the one's who need you. It is the sheep that stray farthest from the flock that need to be saved the most. But, in the same respect, do not push your faith onto others, because that doesn't work. Live a faithful life, and let your life do the talking. Make yourself an example to follow, but do it humbly. Everyone on this Earth was created by God, including the homosexuals, the abortionists, the murders and the rapists. And, regardless of how you may feel, he loves them all just as much as he loves you and I. So the next time you cross paths with someone who lives a lifestyle or makes decisions you don't necessarily agree with, remember what I've just said, and treat them with the respect that they deserve for being Christ's creation. I did not write this to offend you. On the contrary, I wanted to share with you the love of a christian. Emmanuel= God is love. Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. 1Corinthians 13:13 Now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love!
This is the first person that I actually agree with on God.(the person that posted the story). Our culture is becoming more and more atheist and anti-religious.And it is true that people are becoming more liberal than conservative.Gay marriage is an insult to our religion and should be banned.I also get pissed off when people use the lords name in vain. And look at whats on the streets.Drug-dealers,prostitutes and sex-offenders are everywhere. It makes me sick how much humanity has destroyed the world. But don't worry, you and I are one of the good ones.We will both go to heaven for standing up for what we believe in.So,yes.It is normal to feel this way.You are an inspiration to all christians.

Once again odiedo you are right about everything. Im not pointing fingers (in my opinion) im just mentioning things in the bible that are indeed sins. And saying from "my opinion" that because these sins are becoming so "popular" to society and greatly outweighing christianity in popularity that this is indeed a bad thing. And you have to agree with me it cant be good for the world since these are labled sins in the bible. And also many things are happening now in this world that are labled signs of the coming of the rapture. In my opinion mind you, these are things that are making this world go bad. And also I know im not the best christian in the world I dont claim to be. I was once a bad person I have only recently accepted god into my heart. It took a tramatic situation in my life to open my eyes and notice somebody wanted me here for a purpose. If not i would be dead. I use to do many "bad" things. I smoked pot, I said the g d word all the time, I have kissed my girl friends when drunk, (im a female) I actually hated religion the bible jesus ect., I was against talking about religion in schools, I critisized christians, I had premarital sex with more than two partners. You know the list goes on. But i met an awsome guy who was a christian. I started dating him and loved his good nature. He is unlike anyone ive ever known. He makes me feel good. His at home life is ten times better than mine i love his parents. And i realized that is because he is a christian and his family also. Mine is not. So then i started reading the bible and everything just started to make sense to me. Im so mad at my self now for being the person i was. So now im constantly trying to make myself into a better person. But I definatly do not think you are critisizing me and im glad you voice you opinions and help me to correct myself because I understand I am not perfect and do need some spiritual guidence in order to help me become a better christian. Thanx!
religion is the cause of war. how can it be a good thing
@: pie1985
But thats my point
I just wanted to say one more thing. You said in your later post that you are so mad at all the "sins" you've commited, and the way that you were. Don't be. If you hadn't done the things that you'd done, you wouldn't be the person that you are. By experiencing what you have, you are now armed with experience and understanding. Now, if you cross paths with someone who is going through what you once went through you will now be able to be much more empathetic and understanding towards them. And, if you decided to fellowship with them, you'll be able to share in a way that they would be open to recieve. Some people go through this life without ever having regrets, and without ever doing anything "wrong". But, not all, but most, are not very helpful. They can't relate to lost people, because they themselves have never walked that path. You have experience that is priceless.
but then you are saying sin is good, to experiance sin is a benefit to another human.

@: pie1985
We all sin. It's not like anyone can avoid it. I'm just saying this person shouldn't loathe themself or worry with regret. They should take the good they can away from it, and use the experience to help someone else.

Perhaps you should not take such an ethnocentric view of things. It would help you become more openminded. Your way is not the only way. Some are more independent minded then people such as yourself and need no belief systems to fulfill their existances.
@: Gosple
Vhist was a libral for his time.
as a chistain i worry about ohers moral life, but its there life. you cnat forseyour belifs on others, and allthough im sure thats not what your doing, it dose seem to me as a brit, and therefor a unbiased sours that bush is trying to force his belifs on others.and as the baptist curch in britan has difent views to that of the american baptist church i find this worrying. Belif in the bible is good, faith in god is good, faith in any poilititians is bad, all polititians have to sell out there belifs to get votes, and i would not trus any politian republican democrat, american or brt with my spiritual wellbeing, so i advise never to mix politics with religion. Vote with your head in the modern world, pray with your heart in the bible.

Totally normal
Yeah, its normal for religious people to feel persecuted and as if they were in the extreme minority. It makes them feel like they are more right and obviously more holy if they can feel like the whole world is against them.
Your first mistake is thinking that Christianity is equal to being politically conservative. G. W. is one of the worst examples of a Christian I can think of, actually. Just look at his policies towards the environment, God's green earth that he entrusted man to care for. I am convinced that he uses his "faith" to get votes.

I guess I could advise you to join a youth group to meet like-minded people, but my experience with these people is that while they condemn homosexuals and other people they call "sinners," they see no problem with getting drunk and being promiscuous (maybe not sexual intercourse, but everything but).

The fact is, Christianity today favors following the bible, as long as what it says benefits you.

If your friends really are pressuring you, then it is probably best to break contact with them. However, your intolerant attitudes ("you gay people,") might be pushing people away. The best Christians try to follow Jesus and love everyone.
I love God! You are definately not alone! Jesus is great! I sometimes feel like I am alone, but there thousands upon thousands of people with the same beleifs as you! But remember, you still have to love those who dont believe the same as you. You are never alone, God is always there even if it seems like no one else is.
Oooh, I don't know if you were trying to stir things up, but damn, you just said just about all of the wrong things in one wrong go. In fact, you said SO MUCH wrong that I don't even think replying here is a good idea, simply due to space. as a result, you can find my reply up at this link
Yeah, Jesus is swell, lads. Sometimes I just wish gay marriage were legal so me and the big J.C. could stop living in pre-marital sin.
i believe in God and alot of times i also feel lonely cause all of my friends are goin out gettin drunk, doin drugs, etc. and since i dont want to do that stuff i really dont have many friends. but thru every trial we should look towards God.
Puh-Lease! People are DYING BY THE MILLIONS because of god and the Bible.
GOD DAMN, GOD DAMN, GOD DAMN, GOD DAMN
What an eligntening post. No wonder you have no friends. I am going to go back to doing my muslim girlfriend with a strap on consisting of paper mache pages from the god damned bible.
