I'm very, very skinny
Just asking a question, and asking for personal experiences based on something that really bothers me.
I'm about fifteen, soon to be sixteen, and I'm so scrawny my ribs poke out really far when I have my shirt off.
Enough to where if someone were to brush their hand down my torso they'd feel my chest, then a sharp rib bone jutting outward on either side, then my stomach.
So much so it's humiliating at times, I worry about this enough that it relates to so much--such as:
1) Girls not wanting a scrawny guy who's bones (ribs) poke into them during certain activities
2) Wearing a thin shirt, or not wearing a shirt at all--being self conscious in the knowledge that the poking ribs may show through.
What I'm wanting to know is, will this change later in life or is this just permanent? I've heard of people gaining weight after high school, after they were so skinny during that time.
Really it's one of the things I hate most about my appearance. :-(
Thanks for reading.
Has you get older your metabolism should slow down and you will wish it never did because you will no longer be able to eat whatever you want and you will have to start watching your weight.
The best thing to do is to eat and make sure you eat 3 meals a day and never miss one doing this will make you be able to eat more and your body will gain some weight and doing this and going to the gym to strength train you will gain muscle and look and feel better.
Just dont feel sorry for your self and be upset you need to just do something about it and be happy with who you are. If you want to improve your self then you need to work for it understand that.
By the way, if this is of any help to you: many years ago, I had a boyfriend who was 6 feet, 4 inches. He weighed just under 170 pounds, so you can imagine how thin HE was. He was a great lover and I also thought he was incredibly attractive. Not every woman out there is looking for a guy who's built like a massive bodybuilder.
-crank dat
Dont be embaressed.
Astinos: I'm 140 pounds. I'm thinking weights would help, I suppose.
Chris_Ufc: Thanks.
slackjawedyockel: Okay.
JanIAm: Thanks, your post did help. If the info helps in determining my situation, I'm about 5'10 and 140 pounds.
Thanks, all, except for the people who are pretty much just spamming.
