Ok, I've decided to address a common viewpoint that I have noticed on this board. Many people on here believe that the end is near. They believe that the world is so darn horrible, and they think it has sunk to a new low. Well, my sister made a good point, and I've decided to expand on it and share it. I don't think the world is any worse off than it ever was. The only difference is, we, as a society, are more aware of it. Throughout the Bible are examples of lewd sexual behavior, murder and the such. Just look at Sodom and Gomorrah. God wanted to completly destroy that city, because the people living there were so out of control. Noah had to build a gigantic ark to save his family and all the animals, because God had had enough of us humans and our behavior, and he decided to drown them all in a great flood. Back in the time of Jesus Christ, Roman soldiers would have "relationships" with young boys, and it was considered acceptable in their community. These are just a few examples. The world we live in is no more horrible than it has ever been. The only difference is, today, we have CNN, the evening news, American Justice, and the Internet. I could talk to someone in Bejing right now. You couldn't do that back in those days. Back during the world wars, you heard about an attack the next in the paper. During Vietnam, you heard about an attack on the news that night. Today, you're in the plane as the bomb is being dropped(exaggerating of course). We have much more access to so many more things, and, unfortunatly, a lot of people thrive on misery. We don't want to watch, but we can't turn away. I suggest that we all start to focus on the positives, that way, the negatives wouldn't be so appearant. Also, for anyone who has any remaining doubts about what I've just stated, ask yourself this question. Why did God send his son, Jesus Christ, to die for us? If, throughout the ages, we were so much "better", why did he have to be crucified for our sins?

undies on or off??
Bare-Assed Ball Hanging TeaBags for all.
The world has always been low, we just lived in blissful ignorance. Some things, though have gotten worse, but at the same time, some things have gotten better. The world sucks no matter where and when you look at it. But, your argument saying that in the times of Noah and his ark and when God sent Jesus down to save the people just prove that the end is coming. I do think that the end is near, but not because our planet is filled with duchebags (although that contributes to the problem.) I think that the earthquakes, the tsunamis, the hurracanes and whatever other natural disaster will be the cause. The ozone layer and global warming, I believe, will also cause the end of the world to come, but maybe im just watching too much of the Discovery Channel.
pray for the world, and dont throw things in the ocean and we'll have our Earth for a few more centuries.
Global warming + Laziness + Greed + Poverty + Disease + More people + Discontent + Weapons + Corrupt government + Nuclear weapons = Doom
Maybe I've gotten too carried away...
He took Adam, the first man, from eternal doom, and accompanied him to the gates of heaven, were he sat in the right hand of God.
