No, I just don't like others who feel the need to stomp all over other people's beliefs, whether it be an athiest insulting a christian or catholic, or a christian or catholic stomping all over a wiccan, or a catholic stomping all over me for being neutral. Right now it seems that the atheists feel the need to tell Christans that they are idiots for believing what they do. I have christian friends, I have wiccan friends I have atheist friends, and they all get along and just avoid the topic of what they believe.

It's plain and simple, christians and catholics shouldn;t tell atheists or any other belief system they are going to hell, atheists shoudln't tell them they are idiots for following the bible, and so and so forth. Simple enough to understand? I just really dislike all this strife and right now the other atheists seem to be causing the problems right now. I was almost positive you were the one telling off Christians for simply being Christians. My apologies.

Well, sure, but there's nothing wrong with gathering statistical data now, is there? There've been a lot of posts by young christians wondering if they're the only ones around. I thought an atheist one might be in order.

I have to disagree. When christianity was at it's peak in during the European dark ages people believed in god. This is when there were wars waging across every country and people were dying of the bubonic plauge. They believed in god. It gave them hope.

to believe. But for many, a belief in a God/higher power gives people hope.
