Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Rats
Is it normal that I have an obsession with rats. I have two of them as pets and I really don't understand why people are afraid of them. They are clean, very intelligent, and lovable creatures. they are fascinating to watch, and have individual personalities. They give kisses and like to cuddle as much as the next pet.

Is it normal that I have an obsession with an animal that people commonly think of as vermin?

My brothers friend brought home three rats and one was pregnate and had babies. In all we had 10 of them everyone thought they were so disgusting but i loved them!! They have much better personalities than hampsters or gerbils!! They are not nasty vermints if they are tamed they are just like any other caged animal. and the good thing about them is they will eat almost anything you give them!! I always give them left over food and they love it!

I had pet rats once. I fed them meat and meat products, which one should not do. They had babies and ate them. Then the "mom" ate the head of the "dad" rat. I fucking threw that last rat outside. I let the mom rat go at work as a joke. Haha a carnivourous rat in the office! Sadly, No one ever found her.

Omnivores
Actually Methos I do believe that rats are omnivores. They are like people and can handle both meats and vegetables as well as fruits and nuts.
ThankYou
Oh, thank you. That explains why they ate their own fugging heads, don't it? I was thinking aboot eating Magnum's head.

No, I keep four pet rats as well. I find myself playing with them as much as I play with my dogs.

I have an area cornered of in the room with their cage where I can let them run around on the floor for a little while. It's nice to sit in there with them and let them climb into my lap or onto my shoulder...

I could go on and on.

But yes, you have pets, and you love them. This is not only normal, it's commendable.
i love my rats to they are the best pets in the world

Ratkill
I have had rats. Had five, killed three.

First off, the squeaks really drive me mad. Female rats are worst at it. I killed the first rat by banging its head on the table and then having to drown it in a cup of water.

the next two rats, I basically twisted their stomachs and they flopped majestically.

the last two were keepers. Hardly a squeak and have kept them since. They love cheese, especially wenslydale. I let them run around the dining room and they are brilliant at balancing. I have expanded my cage so there is about a mile of cage space with an inbuilt stream which pumps filters fresh cool water everyday. there is plenty of shelter and ventilation.

Sometimes I feel sad about the other rats. I had to burn them but didn't turn to ashes. They were like chicken wings:(
