For the record, I would like to say that I hate World of Warcraft from the very pit of my soul, the very depths of my conscious mind. The graphics are really not state-of-the-art, they're like zooming into Warcraft III... just crap. A lot of random 3D shit that could never compare to, say, Call of Duty 2, or 1 for that matter. Especially not COD 4, which is the "standard" today.
You have to pay twenty bucks or something every month to get your ass kicked by kids or losers with disposable income-- they're the only ones who play the game. Did you see the new ad campaign? They hire the most expensive celebrities, including Mr. T and that midget guy who is incredibly annoying. They basically tell the camera that they have a character on the game that they paid to create and ask you what your character is.
This is wrong on so many levels. For one, why do they even have to advertise? Is there anybody who does not live under a rock who doesn't know World of Warcraft exists? Is there anybody who does not live under a rock who cares for World of Warcraft at all?
MMORPG's are the lowest of the low in terms of gaming, the scum of the Earth next to generic platformers for the NES that try to duplicate the unexplainable success of MARIO BROTHERS. Worse, are the kind one has to pay an exquisite sum for no explainable reason to unscrupulous people who can afford top celebrities to pretend they USE the product.
That's it. I'm leaving. I fucking hate WoW, I hate a lot of YOU, and am getting my knickers in a knot.

So youre saying you dont think MR T or MINI ME actually plays the game?
How about Andy Dick, you think he plays it?
AND NO, I don't think any of these celebrities actually play the game BECAUSE THEY HAVE THINGS TO DO.
That's 200 million dollars a month... and growing.
Their margin is huge.
I think their customers are addicted to their product.
Profitable business... dubious morals.

also i have a lvl 70 wow character and it is boring to me now, but the graphics aren't that great but at the same time it has to render a shitload of not great graphics which uses about the same computer speed as call of duty 4 probably more
but the fact that you can play with many people at a time make it fun also, and it is the best mmorpg out right now
I've been playing EQ2 since its birth, and I love the people and the game. Its nice to work together with people from places like denmark and california at the same time to kick some ass when you're bored.
