These people are worked to an early grave so we can enjoy cheap goods. Now I am not against cheap goods but I am against the exploitation of children in commercial organisations.

And yes the specialization of economies have it's benefits. Countries would benefit more if they produced goods and services that they can produce the cheapest.
But yes with specialization comes "reliance". Nations will be relying on one another for trading of goods they do not make themselves. With such wars and disagreements make one realize that self sufficiency maybe the answer but look at countries that attempted "self sufficiency" North Korea is one fine example.
The problem is with Global Organization is that in order for the system to work properly international laws protecting the rights of the workers must be established and upheld with all member states.
