I guess it depends on your preferences. I get depressed in the winter because of SAD (seasonal affective disorder)... the days are shorter and thus much less sun, not to mention the cold and the snow (in the Northeast)... I LIVE for SUMMER myself and actually look forward to the hot weather, but could live without the humidity. If you can, you may want to consider relocating to someplace that has a year-round climate that is more to your liking.
Fall and Winter are really my favorite seasons. I like depressing weather. That's not to say Fall/Winter have to be depressing to everyone's thinking. Of course... since I like them, they're uplifting. Whoa.
yes, it is:
There are many factors that can cause one to enjoy winter more;

Summer=allergies

Summer=intolerably hot weather(sp?)
I strongly dislike the sun... I think it's annoying. and the humidity of the summer, me being allergic to alot of stuff, and my DAMN NEIGHBORS ALWAYS HOSTING FUCKING PARTIES AND PLAYING LOUD MUSIC (like hip-hop and other genres I so horribly despise), and the sound of lawn-mowers, annoying kids, etc.... it can drive a man insane!
