I don't particularly endorse the tone of this thread, but the video is hilarious. If you watch the video, you might at least get some good comic relief out of it.

There hasn't been one day where I don't hear horrible homosexual offense terms. If you REALLY want a serious response to the issues of homosexuality in modern society, I'd suggest you drop the "Inspired by the Love" tag that's a dead give-away that it's been posted by you. Many of us here aren't homophobes -- I'm certainly not -- but when it appears that the subject is being handled in a trivial manner, you may expect trivial responses. It's really up to you -- YOU set the tone for your responses. As I've told you before, the whole idea of being "inspired" by teen-aged gay anime characters is already funny. I'm more than capable of discussing homosexuality with a straight face (pardon the pun), but not under these conditions.

I understand what your saying, and I agree that people on this site aren't going to take me seriously. But, it's just really hard to make a difference when i'm so young. All I can do is wear my gay support shirt and post on this site. everything else I would have to be older to do.

It was posted in a serious tone, and most of the responses were at least thought-provoking, if not all sympathetic. You might want to take your cue from that story as it was well written and presented what appeared to be a fact-based, empathetic account of a gay man who faced the kinds of discrimination you talk about here, and found he could not tolerate it. Just a suggestion ...

Now that I re-read the comments, though, they weren't all that thought-provoking ;-) Maybe four of them were sympathetic; one was at least well thought-out in addition to those four; and the rest were just plain silly. But the post itself was well written and may yet generate more intelligent responses over time.

I think your goals are worthy. Just give it some time, and maybe have a look at some of the other boards and forums for more ideas. Frankly, this place is primarily for light comedy and wasting time. Don't take it too seriously, and you won't be disappointed. (P.S. I post anonymously all the time myself -- it's a good way to find out how people feel about your work on its own merit without judging it on the basis of having come from you.)
