Last night i came home from a friends house and my mom asked me where i was and i lied to her and said that i was at the library because she doesnt allow me to go to this friends house. She was like oh okay and i went upstairs to my room and went on the computer. She came in while i was talking to the friend and i tried to close it but i coudlnt. She yellled at me for lying and i thought that was it because she left but then she came back with the wooden spoon that she always use to threaten me with but she has only ever hit me with her hand but she hit me for like 2 min with it. I think its wrong.... Do you

Yes I do think it's wrong. I don't think anyone should be spanked as a child or a teenager. It's terrible... I was never spanked at all in my whole life. There's no need for it. Why doesn't your mom allow you to go to your friend's house or talk to your friend? My mom never cares about what I do with my life or who I hang with. Jesus Christ, dude! What makes people think that they can rule their kids and act like dictators?

No it is not appropriate to spank a 17 yo with a spoon.

You need to do two things:

1. be more honest with your parents even if they do not like the answers.

2. Explain how you feel about being spankded and try to come up with a better solution.
