Nasa beams Beatles' song into space
The Beatles' song Across the Universe will be the first ever to be beamed directly into space next week, Nasa said.
Former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney said it was an "amazing" achievement and John Lennon's widow Yoko Ono called it the "beginning of a new age".
The transmission of the song over the space agency's Deep Space Network on Monday will mark the 40th anniversary of the day the band recorded the song.
The song will be aimed at the North Star, Polaris, 431 light years away from Earth, and it will travel across the universe at a speed of 186,000 miles per second, Nasa said.
So, you stil say the Beatles were crap?

@Footfan
Tea, she was the worst thing to happen to the beatles.
@spammie. They also come within my scope except for super tramp. They never lit my fire.
and yoko is the only one out there besides paul and ringo fighting to keep the spirit of john lennon alive.
Second, yoko is a b!tch. John Lennon died while their divorce was underway, because of this, she was still married to him legally, and got all his assets. His first son, from another woman, got no money. For years he faught in court to get some of his money, but Yoko reserved it for herself and her son.
Third, yoko is crazy scary man, HAVE YOU SEEN HER! (lol the simpsons says it best "I would like a single plum, soaking in perfume, served in a man's hat")
Fourth, teens in the sixties were not the only ones listening to the beatles. As a current teen, we still listen to the beatles. Although the number of people listening to them now is obviously dwarfed by the number back then, a lot of teens love the beatles and are their favorite band. (im listening em to as i write this...."strawberry fields forever..."
