Correction: "As I write Barack Obama leads John McCain 41 to 47 percent" should read "As I write Barack Obama leads John McCain 47 to 41 percent." What is more, Obama's lead is growing. The long dark night of the Republican ascendency may be coming to an end.

As I write Barack Obama leads John McCain 41 to 47 percent. Obama's trip to the Near East and the stated desire of the Iraqi government for the same phased U.S. withdrawal Obama is calling for is neutralizing McCain's advantage in the War on Terror.

If the election is about the economy Obama will beat McCain in a landslide and the Democrats will sweep the country. John McCain is John TheSame as Bush. He has nothing to offer the country but the failed economic policies of President Bush.

Contrary to Republican dogma, tax cuts for the rich do nothing to help the vast majority of Americans who are not rich, and who never will be.

change just for the sake of change isnt very smart.....and how much change is it between obama and clinton....' they are both US senators.....for crying out loud.

obama's problem is no experience and no one knows where he stands on the issues.....he seems content with comparing himself to JFK and MLK jr and never getting around to saying what he would do about the war, economy, etc.

Obama keeps winning states where no one lives and clinton wins the few states where the population is..that is why they are tied even tho he has won a bunch more states......it looks like the winner may be decided at the convention.
