Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Vomitting
For the last two years, the majority of the things I eat, would come back out through my mouth, basically vomitting. I've went to the doctors for it and had many many check-ups, but they never helped, and i pretty much gave up on them, or they pretty much gave up on me. Is it a medical problem, or could i be bulimec w/o knowing?????????

Are you vomiting intentionally after eating certain foods? That could be a sign of an eating disorder. Also, if you are very preoccupied with your weight or appearance. However, if you went to the doctor about the vomiting, it's probably not something you're doing on purpose. Is it affecting your weight at all? Do you have any other symptoms?
It sounds like acid reflux to me - or a weak oesophagal sphincter.

Certain foods are harder to bring back up than others so the only thing that I can suggest is find dry foods that don't so easily come back up and stick to those for a while... until your sphincter is strong enough to keep other foods down too.

Vomiting
I am thin, and I've always been thin, and I do care about my apperance, but who doesnt? The vomiting just started happening one day, and went on from then, and I had all the support from everyone around me. However, everyone(family) turned around and then suggested that I had an eating disorder, because my family was sick of me vomiting. And because they said it so much they sort of made me believe that just maybe it is. And I just dont know what to think, the doctors gave up on me, and I am just scared that this is messing me up inside. I dont know what to do!!!!!!!!!

It's only an eating disorder if you are making yourself throw up. If you are throwing up despite wanting to keep the food down, then it must be a medical problem, most likely one on the ones the previous poster mentioned.

Let your family know you don't want to throw up and you need help. If they don't think you're sincere, call your doctor or another different doctor if you need to and explain the situation, they may be able to help you talk to your family about it. It does seem like a serious medical problem that may cause ulcers or damage to your esophogus some years down the road.

To be bulimec you have to be trying to throw up on purpose.
I'm sorry that your parents are accusing you of having an eating disorder. That must be really frustrating.

Can you just answer this question (at least to yourself) - do you purposely bend over even though you know the food will come up? Or do you really really try to stop it from coming up?

Because there are a lot of bulimics that don't physically make themselves throw up (there are a LOT of bulimics that simply bend over as well and it makes it so hard to stop because it's too easy to get rid of the food). Generally, these bulimics feel guilty for eating whatever it is they had and they try to relieve some of the guilt.

I'm not accusing you, I'm just trying to explain to you about 'hands-free bulimics' (as they're known) so that you can decide for yourself if you relate or not.

You can't really be bulimic without knowing though (unless you have a severe case of denial) so try to trust your instincts.

I hate you.
you can't be bullimic without knowing. So yeah I say take your doc's ass to court because he isn't doing is job right
its psicological, some people get hearts attacks when stressed...so i guess you should get some shrink to take a look in your head
Im a physician and my guess is with symptoms like that if other doctors could not find a medical reason for your symptoms they were either horrible horrible doctors or your problem is psychological
you cant be bulimic unless you have actually been making yourself barf. It might be Apendisitis. Are you having stomache aches? how long has this been going on? You might have to have your pendix removed! ask your doctor about it!
tell your parents to take you to another doctor for another opinion. you and your parents should really be trying to find out what this is before writing anything off.

Its important to diagnose this because excessive vomiting can lead to damage of the stomach and esophagus.
my stepmom has a thing where the opening to her stomach is too narrow. she sometimes vomits, and always has difficulty swallowing. You can fix it with surgery only. get it checked out.
You went to the doctor and they found nothing wrong with your unnatural regergitation process?

I'd switch doctors.
