Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Perfect Symmetry
For some reason, I've had a life-long obsession with making sure that my body is totally symmetrical. If I scratch my left arm, I have to scratch my right (even if it doesn't itch), I have to clip my nails alternating hands so they don't stay different for too long, and I've even trained myself to be totally ambidextrous so my right hand muscles (I'm naturally right handed) don't get bigger than my left. I take turns using them. Irregular freckles and birthmarks irritate me to no end, and occasionally cause me to get really depressed. If I had money, I'd remove them.

Does this happen to anyone else?

No.

And I don't think it happens to you either. Fake story. I call bullshit.
Actually...
It does happen to other people. It's called obsessive compulsive disorder. A friend of mine in highschool did the exact same thing... Except, she used to gouge the freckles out.

I don't recommend you use her methods, though. Have you considered getting counselling?
OCD
Yeah this is obsessive compulsive disorder. You should try doing unsymetircal things. I used to do it a lot as a kid, where I'd have to scuffle one foot if i scuffled the other, or if I banged my arm, I'd have to band the other one just the same.
obsessive compulsive disorder
But that doesnt have to be bad. Albert Einstein was pretty obsessed with his theories. Just try to put your obsession into something useful. If you feel you dont have enough control over your obsession you should seek help.
OCD
you have obsessive compulsive order, you should watch MTV's "true life" episode that features three different people who have OCD, they go to a conselor that helps them to stop their habits. if you cant do it by yourself, go see a docter/therapist. i have waaay minor ocd (i have to step over each crack in the street with alternating feet, if i step over a crack with my left foot twice i have to step over a crack with my right foot twice. it is one weird disorder
Whoah I got this too; When I was a kid I had to check the bathroom door to be sure it was locked like Fu**ing 20 times!!! And though it's not as bad now small things like when I wash my hands I have to wash them symetrically and then I have to rub my wrists together a certain way, sometimes I think i get WAY to stressed out and blood pressure soars cuz I am 2 worried about all the weird little things I have to do...

Ratsh*t, Batsh*t, Dirty little Fu**;
69 A**holes tied in a knot!!
Hooray, Batsh*t FU**!!!!
Consider yourself lucky in situations, At least you make the attempt and you over achieve but..it is a disorder still. If you don't like it, take meds. It's 100% normal, just cus not many people do it doesn't mean it's wrong or abnormal.
I'm kind of an ass, but I have to correct duracell. In order to have OCD you have to exhibit acts of compulsion that somewhat inhibit your ability to carry on life as normal.

Being obsessed with something is not the same thing at all. It is kind of bad.
