If its your arteries you better get that checked out, if you get a blood clot in your leg it can travel to your heart and you can have a heart attack. You should see a doctor. Not normal!

I am a doctor who just finished my residency. Im hesitant to say its anything serious. It sounds like a simple cramp to me, probably having something to do with the foods you describe. however if you notice any periods of lightheadedness, irregular heart beat, or loss of sensation that correspond with the pain see a doctor immediatly

KillMeAgain - My Jaw

I used to have something that sounds similar with my jaw aching like that, usually when I would eat too much pasta and stuff (which, of course is a carb). It hasn't happened in a quite a while, but who knows if it's still there. I doubt it's a bad thing, but maybe go to a doctor to be sure...'

My step dad had the thing you are describing... I know the name but it is slipping me right now... but it is a really bad sign. Go to the doctor, because you might need to get a stint in your artery. He had what you are describing, and soon enough couldn't walk and even had two heart attacks. But, I can't be positive it's what you have. If though, you have a pretty high fat diet or history of cholesterol, I suggest you get that checked out. Oh, I don't mean to scare you or anything, just trying to help.
