Is It Normal?
What do you think?
Cotton, Napkins, Elbows, EEEEW
Lots of people don't like the sound or feeling of nails on a chalkboard. I really dont like the feeling of dry things touching me. It's especially disgusting to have (or imagine) something dry touch my teeth or elbows. Some examples of things that gross me out are cotton balls, paper napkins, powders, newspaper, and certain fabrics like fleece and wool. I'm also disgusted by people with visibly dry, ashy elbows. I am addicted to lotion, and if there isn't any around I usually have to lick my fingers before touching dry stuff, if I can bring myself to do it at all. I know this isn't normal, but if you've EVER been grossed out because something was too dry, vote normal.

Grossed is not the best word... I have the feeling too, but not with teeth and elbows. More like my fingers. I tend to wet my fingers before toutching something like newspaper or dry paper in general.
Yes, I have seen this before with the teeth thing. A lot of times it's the creepy squeaky noise that accompanies the contact of dry things to the teeth. If there isn't a toothpick around, I'll try to pick something out of my teeth with a napkin, and the teeth against the napkin noise makes my mom cringe. My boyfriend can't stand the chewing-on-yarn noise (like if you try to break a string with your teeth).

same thing. i've always had this thing about dry stuff, especially cotton, yarn, etc.. touching my teeth. its not the sound though, its the feeling, maybe the texture. like if someone told me to bite on cotton balls or something.. that would really bother me.
frankly licking your fingers is the grossest thing you mentioned.fingers are really germy.
