thinking -

You need to explore the reason for the angered thoughts. Such extreme and reoccurring thoughts are a serious problem and you should not think it is normal or beneficial in any way.
I find it very beneficial to read up on psychological studies involving anger and violence. You will certainly glean a lot and likely able to correct your behaviour and free yourself from those thoughts all on your own.
A way to counter those negative thoughts is to force yourself to rationalise things all the time. Such violent thoughts happen when you are not rational -- for some reason. Try to be rational at all times. Also, think deep about what might cause the problem and try to find the reason -- as I said look up scientific studies on anger and violence. Look up as many of them as you can.

All the best and be happy!

You really don't need pills for your angry thoughts, since they're only there for a few seconds.

Dude, it's normal, assuming you don't act on these feelings. We all think "I want to kill that bitch" to ourselves sometimes, even thinking about the people we love. Human beings have an animal side, but that's fine as long as we control it.

sad_n_lonely - BI-POLAR

I agree with methos. I too have bi-polar disorder and can have some bad thoughts. But the meds. keep me under control. I have some friends who have anger problems and have the same thoughts you do. Paxil and Zoloft seem to help them with the anger. Talk to your doctor. He/she will know exactly what to give you for your specific problem. It might take awhile to find the right meds. for you but don't give up,you will find something to help. Good luck.
