I seem like a different person online
For some reason I find myself more open I guess, talking a lot more smooth or funny online than in real life. I think it's because I am good at speech when I can choose my words wisely and have time to reflect on that. In real life though since it's just what I say in the moment, sometimes that comes out random. And I am a bit more shy in real life.
In the past with myspace I have had the chance to meet just a few people from my school and area in real life after some online conversations that went pretty well. It seems like everytime I did this, it is very akward meeting in real life after already talking to them online. I'd rather just meet somebody in person at first. Does anybody know what I mean; is this normal?
im the same
in real life.. i am soooo shy and i hate it.. it stops me from making so many friends, because im just to embarassed to talk incase i make myself look like a complete idiot
but online i chat away an never stop
i met this guy once in real life.. and he said i was nothing like what he thought id be.. like in how much i spoke
so dw! its totally normal :)
It just sucks because she (person I met in real life after online) thought I hated her or something from the difference in how I was acting. I think I'm going to lay off the myspace for a bit heh.
The funny thing is that online you may say very easily "love you" or "care about you"..though you know the person for real..but when you meet her again..you're like.. "nice shoes.. nice weather"..it may be double personality created by this fictional space..or a way to escape our stiffness..
Keep on chating
When I masturbate, I feel that I'm much more sexually prolific!
It seems people feel freer on the internet because other people can only see what they want them to see. A certain camera angle with pictures and careful choice of words with text, it's like you're weeding out the ordinary or ugly parts about yourself and showing everyone just the good. When you meet them in real life, all of a sudden you're aware of the all things that you had been filtering from them, and you choke.
There's a huge difference bewteen interpersonal relationships and interNET relationships. You can make friends with both, but the first requires more effort and social skill. Don't let the internet make you forget how to communicate the old fashioned way. Making the leap from talking on a computer to talking in real life is a HUGE change, and that explains your situation.
i no i defnitly do!!!!!!;)
i'm shy in real life 2!!!!!
bt u cant shut me up on the internet!!!!!!!
But When I Met Up With Someone It Was Just Awkward For The First 5 Mins Coz I Thought Maybe He Didnt Like Me.. Seemed Like He Did Tho!
Errm Yeh Its Normal. I Think Alot Of People Feel The Same Because Online.. Say MSN You Can Block A Person From Talking To You But In Real Life You Cant.. Like Someone Said Before You Can Choose To Only Show The Good Things About Yourself Online.. As In Only Tellin The Good Things.. Or Editing Photos That People Online See To Make Yourself Look Better.
Also By Editing Your Photos You Can Get More Self Esteem Meaning Talkin To More People Is More Easier As Tellin Someone You Like Them Is Much Easier Online Then In Real Life For Most. Aswell You Can Change The Way You Look In A Photo.. Maybe Better Then In Real Life.
Might Not Be True For Everyone.. Just A Suggestion x
No one knows you and no one cares enough to find out, and if they do then they're stalkers.
It's easier because you'll never meet these people in real life.
