Extremely Hateful Carpenter
I live with my parents while attending college, and for the past couple of months they have had a carpenter over working on some additional rooms to our house. The problem I have been having is that this carpenter absolutely hates me for no logical reason at all.

I have never talked to this guy (older man in his late fifties or early sixties), and have always stayed inside while he was outside working. So therefore he does not know me at all. Recently, however, I decided to overcome my bashfulness by venturing outside into the vicinity where he was working, which is our backyard. I simply commited the "unpardoanble sin" of studying for a political science test about 30 feet away from him. That was the first time that he ever really saw me.

For some inexplicable reason this set him into a raging frenzy. He yells that I am "the laziest boy he has ever seen in his entire life" and that "I will never make it in life." He also gets really angry over the fact that I am wearing a pink shirt, and he basically says that I look like a wimpy faggot lazy boy (I acutally am gay, but have told no one so he cannot actually know).

A couple of days later he unleashes another "episode of hate" when I am returning home from my college classes. As I pull into my parent's driveway in my recently purchased sports car (2002 Audi TT... I love it!) he pulls his utility truck in my way to purposely block me from parking my car in the backyard. Then he basically tells my mother who is standing nearby that I am a worthless failure who "won't ever make it in life." What is even more unsettling is what he may have done to me if my mother wasn't there to intervene. He looked ready to beat the crap out of me.

My parents are now getting rid of him to find another carpenter.... thank goodness! Is this how alot of redneck carpenters act toward some people? Why would someone hate me so much when they do not know me at all? This has really upset me, and I just do not understand. Has a similiar experience ever happened to anyone else?

I find a lot of tradesmen especially fitters are grumpy pricks they never smile and if you tell a joke they dont even laugh. Some people are just sad pricks dont worry about it you will come across other people that dont like you so get used to it nothing you can do about it it happens
How would he have known you were gay? Was it the pink shirt? Was it the Audi TT? Or was it the mincing round the garden, singing "It's raining men"?
The carpenter guy obviously fancies you and he can't deal with it. That look in his eye was really man lust. He's going to bum you one day and he can't wait.
Hi, you are not the only one it happens to. I remember this man from the gas board who came to my house to service the gas fire. He was a complete waste of space. He was totally disrepectful, he used terrible bad language and was on his mobile phone more than he was doing his job. They try to make you feel like crap in your own home, also one idiot gas man tried it on with me in my own house once, they show no respect at all. Just put it down to where it comes from..
Yuck. I get a lot of that too... it's annoying as hell
someguy made fun of me wearing a pink shirt and i beat the living hell out of him for saying so. andthat guy was a real dick. i have no problem with gay people so that right off the bat would have pissed me off if i was there.
You shouldn't have tried to bone him up the ass
tell his employer, get his ass fired
too long nenur
