I'm dating my second cousin
Okay, before I start, I just wanna say a big fat friendly f*ck you to all the haters.
So, I have this second cousin who's 5 years older than me. He's 21, and that means that I'm kinda young, and he's kinda illegal. I've known him my whole life, and I've liked him for most of it. Just recently, he's become interested in me (probably all that breast I grew over summer, hello!) and we've established a caring, romantic relationship. We really want to have sex, but there are several obvious negative factors (legality being the main one). Also, will I have major psychological problems later in life (or now) if my first time is with my 21 y/o second cousin?
And I have another problem: whenever I think of him, I think of him as being younger. When it's dark out I seem to like him more because I can't see his age that well and I don't feel that bad. What should I do? (Other than f*cking my mother or shoving a bong up my c*nt, I don't need that sh*t thanks)

Why is it illegal? If he's 21, you're five years younger, you're 16 right? Surely that's legal. Unless you mean he's going to anally-intrude you. Is that what's going to happen?

And yes, it is illegal, at least where I live. You have to be 16 to be legal to have sex with anyone under 18, and 18 and over to have sex with anyone over 18. Get it? He's over 18, I'm not = illegal. *sigh* Oh well.
He's a sweet guy and not going to force anything on me, so I have no reason to report him. I'm just kinda worried about my stepmom reporting him, or someone else. Erg. People have no respect for love these days...

Don't worry, just wondering though, What does your mom or other family members think? I think it's ok personally i couldn't do it, but im saying that having never experienced such strong feelings for a family member. i dont think it will fuck you up make the most of it and if you want to sleep with eachother do it, who is gonna actually tell the police :P good luck with it all, oh yeah and 5yrs is nothing..enjoi :)

FYI 21->16 = illegal. And get'n busted for a sex crime is a real drag. That being said the law will never get involved unless you, or your parents, complain. IMPORTANT! --or your parents-- As for second cousins, a non-issue, second cousins can even marry. In the end we can only follow our hearts.

It's all on you based on what morals and values you hold. I personally don't think dating or marrying your second cousin is wrong. First however is nasty I think. Neither do I think a 21 year old being with a 16 year old is perverted. It is certainly legal in many states in the U.S. and countries in the world. Not making it up. In Iowa 14 is legal believe it or not. It's so stupid everyone here assumes everyone else lives in the states.

second cusin is ok as long as your family is not too close with them i suppose. & it also depends HOW he is your second cuz...

personally i liked my moms cusins daughter. she is 30 now but when i was 16 i so wanted her. if she was unattached i still might ask her out. my family knew & they thought is was a bit wierd but it was ok. actually i think thats really my 3rd cuz not second. ah well you get my meaning.

Lots of people have crushes on their cousins; that's normal. Having sex with your cousin is not normal, unless you are royalty living a couple of hundred years ago. Why not wait until you are older and have some more experience with people other than your family. I mean really how many 21 yr old guys do you know well, or guys your own age for that matter? Maybe you are just infatuated and feel comfortable with him because you have known him so long without any sexual tension. I say stay a virgin until college. At that point you can pretty much have your pick of whatever guy you want, if for no other reason than every guy likes a virgin.

Well about the "might it mess up your mind later on", I'm sorry to say but yes, many people will ridicule you for dating your cousin and you will be ashamed and sad, but as long as you forget what they say, and rememeber who you love, you will be ok, it is kind of disgusting to me, but that is because I too have done it before, but I did not love her, but if you love him it will all be ok.
