A blood test should be done. She may be a borderline hemopheliac.

actually yes free is right one of my best friends are hemopheliac. and it happens to her all the time...it needs to be checked out SOON! b/c my friend got to where it bleed so bad she would faint!

I had bad nose bleeds at one point, they got that bad that i had to go to the hospital. They took a certain medication and it somehow closed an open vessel in my nose causing the nose bleeds, I haven't had more than 3 nose-bleeds in the past 5 years now.

It's not a painful process, you should tell her to get it checked out.

It's normal. I used to have nose bleeds like every day and im not sick or anything. Some people get them alot and some don't.

This may sound stupid but it is true...some poples blood vessels are close to the surface in their nose! Seriously! So when they are under pressure..or in this case it may be due to the steam from the water when she is under the pressure of her period that is causing it!

Talk to a Otolaryngologist.i.e...ears, nose, throat specialist!
