Flatmates and dating ?

Is it normal to pick a flatmate / house mate becase you fancy them or do people normaly choose a flatmate / house mate based on there ability to pay the bills etc ?

You never know what a person is like until you live with them so your first choice should be if they can pay the bills if theyre reliable and honest then look at other things

thats what my aunt and her husband did. They dont even have sex, they hate each other, but married as a favor.
