Nah i completly get what you mean! I've always thought that making your bed was sooo pointless. So what it looks neat,..Whos gonna see it really. But eating to stay alive is a more serious matter even though it is the same there is actually a point to staying alive

i make the bed so that when a eat my dinner, no crumbs get under the sheets. But apart from that i wouldnt bother my arse.

i can see both point of views here. making your bed is worthless because you will end up messing it up again, but making it, makes you look neat and tidy especially if someone u really like is visiting you, and there is spiders they hate tidy places so yeah lol

Hi there, I know what you mean but most people do this out of self respect and cleanliness. For instance if someone visits then the house will be clean and tidy and the beds made, alot of the older people were brought up very strict and had to keep their houses very neat.

my mom's verification is that it "completes the room"

Wow, starting with your mom's bed making habits you've begun to notice the inconsistent nature of life. Remember your mom (i would hope) puts alot of work into you and you'll never fully appreciate her. It's a thankless job but people have been doing it since the dawn of man or else we wouldn't be here. Depending on your religious leanings, many things in life are pointless. But yet we live.

I used to feel the same way--why make my bed if I'm going to just mess it up again when I go to bed--and as I got older I realized that getting into an already made bed just feels so damned good!.....and that's reason enough for me to take that extra 60 second and make my bed.

Then why do you bother getting dressed in the morning if you're only going to change out of them clothes at night? Do you not brush your teeth because you're only going to eat and dirty them up again!
