problem
i have a prob. the skin on top of my d*** closes when not hard. and it gets real dry, and hard , hurts when i open it to pee. does that sound like any signs of a desease, or something bad. so......pls get at me
Where you circumsized?? If not, that is just the foreskin. Completely normal, but you do need to make sure you clean your "member" after each restroom visit. Apply lotion to the tip to keep it from getting dry. This should do the trick!
Above poster sounds right, sounds like he is uncircumcized. I too suggest cleaning often and applying a few drops of baby oil, some lotions can irritate the skin but most will work well too. It doesn't sound like any disease, skin irritations are common anyplace the skin is sensitive and especially when the winter approaches and the air gets dry. See a doctor if it doesn't improve after applying baby oil or lotion. You may also want to pick up some "cortisone", it is an ointment can be found in any drug store/pharmacy over the counter. You can find it by the first aid supplies, costs about $6 for a small tube and reduces inflammations. It clears up most skin problems. Good luck.
cortisone...... hmm isnt that wat i had injected into my sholder to make it work lmao.
dont listen to him, cortisone is a steroid, not a cream, he may be refferring to a cream that affects cortisone, but these are usually used as injections in joints with tendonitis.
cortisone is nothing to do with ure foreskin, i would see a doctor, many people on this site may not tell you the best of ideas, take the chinchilla story as an example of this
he probably meant hydrocortisone, which is a cream, which clears up rashes and such. And there are cortisone creams, I think, there was a frivolous malpractice suit filed in my hometown against a doctor who prescribed a topical steroid cream to treat a bad case of diaper rash. The symptoms which the couple claimed were caused by the cream were shown to actually be symptoms of malnutrition, so there shouldn't be any worries.
Thanks Roger, ok, I misspelled it listing the brand name. It is "CortiZone" not "CortiSone". The ingredient is 1% Hydrocortisone Creme with Aloe. The tube is as I listed Cortizone 10 is what mine says. It reduces skin inflammation.
You should check with your doctor but to me it sure sounds like you have a fungus infection on your foreskin (ringworm). No big deal but it needs treatment. What happens is the fungus attaches to the skin and causes the top layer to get very tight and hard (feels like made of plastic) and the dead skin eventually peels off. The process repeats itself unless you get treatment. No long term effects but it's just unpleasant and unsightly. Because of the tightness and rougness of the skin, having sex or pulling your foreskin back can be painful, so get yourself an anti-fungus cream (Lamisil usually works well) or just ask your physician. Once you begin the treatment, you must discard all of your underwear (sorry if you go for the designer stuff) and buy new underwear because fungus, believe it or not, is quite the survivor. Good luck!
Are you circumcised? Try using moisturizer. Are you sexually active? Maybe you have an STD, gonorrhea, or syphilis. Go see a doctor, and don't be embarrassed about it, you'll never get help if you do.
