Masturbation can reduce the ability to date men or women if you do it excessively and spend so much time and energy in it that you don't look for friendships. Some people do spend way too much time masturbating, especially with all the hot porn out there, and use it as a replacement for intimacy. Moderation is the key to everything in life, and that includes masturbating. Nothing wrong with masturbating once or twice a day, that's moderate.
