Well, i somewhat know what you're going through. I've never been to church either, but I recently strated studying religions and I start reading a book, next thing i know i have my head on my knees in a muslim praying position. I think its normal as long as it isnt going too far.

I think it is normal to have these delusions when you are in a hightened spiritual state. It is good to believe you have a close personal relationship with god, but when you start affecting others with these thoughts and feelings it can lead to trouble. Trouble such as cults, hospitalization, and losing the respect of people close to you.
