I agree with you. But, many people find strength in religion, helps them to cope with hardships of life and deal with death. It's nice to believe there is something beyond life although I have my doubts anything exists beyond death, to me it is the ultimate in finality. To each his own.

God is not a 'man in the sky' He is God. The one who made the Earth and humanity. Who can always see us and knows everything that were thinking, who hears every word, who answers our prayers and who knows everything there is to know and can do anything. Havent you ever wondered Who made us, it couldn't have just been a load of rocks that formed or whatever the scientific explanation is. Every single person in the world is unique. Everyone has different preferances, personalities, looks, ambitions, dreams and opinions. How can that just be a coincidence. And how can you say there is no God when God answers prayers If we trust and believe in him. Yeah it is normal to get this worked up about a subject, but you dont have to swear and stuff.
