technically a christian shouldn't masturbate. They also shouldn't do a lot of other things that they do anyway too. It is considered a sin. Premarital sex is a sin in the eyes of christianity and imagining yourself having premarital sex is a sin. Of course everyone sins all the time though and masturbating is just one of those things everyone does. I assume your a teenager and probably already knew the answer to this question before you asked. But yes it is a sin and you will continue to do it anyway, especially if your a teenage boy.

Ummm _help_here**... You need to educate yourself... Theres a difference between marital sex and pre-marital sex... In the bible, it states that pre-marital sex is a sin. Therefore, God gave us the organs not to "enjoy" it but to make kids. The reason why we enjoy it is an incentive to make kids. And to answer your question poster, masturbation is ok as long as you aren't lusting after anything... But, how do you get aroused and not watch porn or lust? Here is my take on it, and I am a Christian female. I do it, but I do it as a pleasurable feeling, such as if I was eating chocolate or getting a neck massage. I will not, nor do I want to, have sex before marriage and I'm in my mid 30's.. I do not look at porn, or any such thing, I don't lust afer anyone when I do it. I don't think of sex when I do it therefore I am not breaking any rules like thinking of sex is the same as having sex or lusting after anyone. As long as you do it and still follow Gods rules than it is fine.
