never had a gf
Ok, so heres where I am...I never had a girlfriend in my whole life. I am currently in college and I really this one girl, who is in my same year. I want to ask her out but since I never had any prior practice...I really don't know what to do. I actually feel a little shy and thus try to avoid her.

Your story is my story. I am currently a freshman in college and have never had a girlfriend. Recently I became interested with this girl at work though and asked her out. We went out to lunch. This would be a good idea being that you're on a college campus. Maybe ask her to go eat lunch with you at the student union. If you are taking the same class you could ask under the guise of wanting to pick her brain about the course matter or something of the sort. There is very little pressure here and if she says no it's not a big deal at all. I hope things work out for you. Good luck.
First its a good idea to make friends with her after that asking her out wont be as scary :-)
Rory gave some good advice. Keep it very low key. Ask her to go for coffee, lunch, something preferably during the daytime. Keep it very simple, there's no pressure this way on either of you. You can always plan something else if you both are compatible. It's also a numbers game, you have to make friends and ask many. Not everyone clicks when they approach others, everyone get refused, turned down for various reasons. You have to approach them in numbers otherwise you will go longer without making a match. It's also a good idea to make it spontaneous, ask her to go with you right then. Worst she can say is no, or that she's busy. I've used this with married women and they accept because there's no planning or threat, it's innocent and they don't feel any guilt to go for lunch. Have fun.
Thanks Rory, Deavo and Sisophous. Your advice really makes sense and I'll try it out as soon as semester starts. I will let you know how it worked out.
Tell her you're 12 inches.
Tell her you got grade A's in the real pompous, arrogant self-important tone of voice that makes them moist.
Ask her if she likes meatloaf or elvis
