Don't sit there

I have this friend who I believe has some weird habits here is one of them. My boyfriend and I went over to our friend's house during our holiday break. My boyfriend went to sit down on one of his chairs and as he was getting comfortable our friend told him he could not sit there because that chair is used in his cabin up north. Since when does a location change the usefullness of furniture? Does anyone else think this is weird?

Strange, perhaps the chair was sold already, payment was made by the purchaser to him, and this guy was soon to deliver the item to the buyer. I would not want anyone sitting or touching an item already purchased but not yet delivered. Or, perhaps he is considering selling it and had it appraised for value in excess of what most would believe it is worth. These are two scenarios that I may have done as this person did, and would be concerned about anyone contacting it. Most likely he is just a loon and it is not worth taking the time and energy to guess what his motive/reasoning is.

He has OCD. He might do weird things because of the disease.
