I just had the same problem like two days ago. I found out that she was taking money from me and she said she would give it all back if she could have my flat screen. So i told her i didnt care as long as i got my money back, but she only gave me like $40 when i know she took at least $100. I still didnt care i just said give me the money cuz im broke and she went on a trip about how much i dont appreciate any thing and how she thinks im on drugs. The next day she offered me the money or my tv back and pretty much told me the same thing that your parents did, And i took the money. They'll get over they probably just dont really feel like giving you the money.

Geeeeeez, you need to lighten up fellow. Accidents happen, you can't carry a grudge or fume over someone because they spilled a drink on you- it's not like it was malicious now was it? Years back, I spilled a glass of champagne on the passenger seated beside me while on an airline flight,it was purely unintentional and I'm glad it wasn't you sitting next to me. You know what, I got up and changed my seat to make sure it didn't happen again and apologized to the person too.

Your parents should not have offered you money and then try to renege on it by putting a guilt trip on you. They absolutely should not have offered you anything to begin with. And, you should decline the offer. Do the right thing, politely decline. Please don't get upset, but you have a bad attitude that needs realignment. Just my opinion.

Decline that offer of 100 dollars. Then, if you really need money, ask them for money outside of the whole upset at the restaurant situation. Or just accept the 100 and tell them that they shouldn't be disappointed because they shouldn't be making offers that they don't want to fulfill. If it just seems like some big emotional test, call them out on it.
