confused

i sometimes am in so much emotional pain that i want to cause myself physical pain. And when i do, i feel a little better. Sometimes i think up some incredibly gorry things, and i don't watch any horror movies or anything. Is that normal? Does anyone else do this?

No, I can't imagine being in that kind of emotional pain to make me express it in a physically harmfully way. I'm really sorry that you feel you have no other outlet than this to express yourself. Talk to somebody about it.

Might want to try going to the gym. Or take up boxing or something like that instead. I know how it feels to be down like that, but what you're describing is not the answer.

maybe you need to talk to someone about it....God is always there..........take your anger out on other things but dont hurt yourself or others

now that i take time to look at it, i see that i felt that way because there was a death in the family. But you're right, i need to tell someone about it. God really does help, too. Thanks!

Don't forget aboot Jesus. He will often make you feel good, better than cutting your ear-lobes off. I can tell you that much.

It's called "self injury", and it's actually quite common, though most people who do it never acknowledge it around others. If you would like to discuss this with people who have experienced these urges and who will listen to you without judging, check out the "Bodies Under Seige" online support group.
You sound depressed.. try a doctor or consoling, don't hold in your emotions, tell someone how you feel... it can most deffinitly help!

If you aren't faking, you need help. Talk to someone, a parent or mental health professional. Stay away from guns.

See a psychiatrist or a therapist, but you should get help immediately.

Hurting yourself is not a way to get rid of the pain, or even to prove to yourself how much pain you are in. Unless you want to be in pain forever you must get help.
