Sim City 4000

i've got a prob. I have already mastered the pc game- Sim City 3000 awhile ago!!! But when i play Sim 4, I can't get started and quickly run out of money. I don't get it because i build all the neccessary buildings in my city but i can't get businesses started and commerce booming. How do I advance. I get some houses and industry and very small stores. When commerce does develop it has little impact and one store develops in a commerce zoned area. I start many times and quickly quit the game because i fail all the time and it gets boring using the money cheat cause i just run out of it all the time!!! So if anyone has ever played it and is successful, please help!!

Sim City 2000 was the only game my parents had to ever take away from me when I was a kid. I stopped doing school work because I got so into it. I haven't played games in a long time, but I feel your pain.

I LOVE THE SIMS AND SIMS 2, NEVER REALLY GOT THE SIM CITY GAMES, THEY WERE BORING 4 ME!!! LOL

Whilst I've never played either of the games you mention, I can understand your frustration. I remember being awesome at a certain game, then playing the sequel and being crap. My advise is to approach the game as if you'd never played it before and learn all the basics first, they might be different to the other game.
