random attraction

there is this boy at school. i don't know him and i have never spoken to him. but, i see him around a lot. he isn't even really cute or anything but everytime i see him or pass him in the hall i feel really attracted to him. like REALLY attracted and i don't know why. is it normal to have feelings for someone you don't know??

I know exactly what you mean. I do this all the time. Yeah and some of them aren't the best looking, but it's like I still think their hot in their own way. I may not know them, but I see them in the halls or whatever and I have some idea what they are like. I am not a shallow person either. I will give most any guy a chance, if they have potential. It's not that I don't like guys that are physically attractive because I do. It's just sometimes the less attractive ones just seem more attractive and appealing to me. You know what I mean?

Hey, No i don't think this is normal, i also don't experience it myself, but i don't think it is a serious problem, I was wondering if maybe you were using your imagenary guy as a subsitute untill someone real comes along? If so i think it's a good way of getting yourself through lonleyness or whatever you may be experiencing. XxX

To ask the guy, just mention that you've seen him around a lot and ask him to something non-commital (like going to the arcades or something), then it doesn't sound too much like a romantic date, and if he declines, it isn't so embarassing.

I'd be surprised if he declines though. Most people are open to making new friends.
