It's not about the amount of friends you have the the amount that would stick with you even when you tell them you're gay. The true friends will stick with you and the others aren't worth your time.

Well, here's the absolute truth; I suspect allot of your freinds would prefer not to know you were gay. There, I said it.

Before you tell them, I'd try to find out what their opinion is of gays in general. Then again, it's possible that YOU would rather not know. Some of your freinds might actually find you more interesting, others will probably be a bit stand-off-ish.

But as a matter of courtisy, at least don't waste any girl's time. That's our job :)

If your friends cannot accept you for who you are, then they are not worth a second of your time.

I would do what deamond suggested, and find out their general opinion first, and then only tell the ones who you are very close to and know will accept you if you are afraid of being hated.

don't tell them. Your sexual orientation does not define who you are as a person, so there is no need for them to know, especially if you suspect that they would act differently. I don't walk around telling people I like it up the ass...alot.
