I agree, I too am sick and tired of hearing about 9-11, but that is the US media at work, not your average American bringing it up. It is a precursor for justifying almost everything that is done by big brother, from domestic policy to foreign policy. I only hear about it when I turn on the television, listen to the radio or look at a newspaper. When you run out of alibis, you can always rely on 9-11 to bail you out.

I like how they tell me I need to give myself 2 hours to get through airport security but it only takes me 5 minutes in reality.

Anyway its a big deal to me, as I live near the city and my dad worked near the buildings. I think much of the hype is because people have made 9/11 into a symbolic event. It is at that time many americans kinda woke up and said "shit, we pissed the world off..."

9-11 was a really terrible day that affected the whole world. but i feel like it is talked about too much. i dont like talking about it mainly becoz it is scary there is so much hate in the world that somebody could actually do that to all of those ppl. but yer i dnt mid hearing about it evry now and again, like on the anniversary or sumthing but it seems to still be talked baout quite a lot in day to day life.

It's mainly the Bushbots and their media lapdogs that obsess over it, and I agree it is annoying. They love 9-11. To them it's not a tragedy but an excuse to invade other countries and trample on the constitution. It's certainly not something the average American dwells on. Even right after it happened, I don't remember people talking about it that much. There were flags lowered and tributes and things like that, but for the most part life just went on as usual.

I wanna know why osama was behind 9/11 and we went right after saddam instead. I guess I have different priorities than the Bush guys.

We had 14- 17 UN resolutions against Saddam telling him to be a good boy, that he ignored. He waved his ass at the world for 12 years. Sadly more lives were lost since Iraq was invaded than the lives lost during 9/11.

There are now MORE dead American soldiers in this war than Vietnam in a shorter time frame!

where do you live.. siberia? cause i live in stten island new york and it was a big deal for us. my 6th grade class saw the 2nd plane go over our school. so many kids in my class were afraid their parents were in danger because they worked in manhattan. my mom used 2 work in the twin towers. my friends sister was workin there the day it happened but thank God she was late to work that day. and my class was scheduled to go there 2 days after it happened so we were so fortunate we werent harmed. and yeah it does get annoying but it was a sad day and i go tot he cemetery n see graves of ppl who were killed that day so dont talk about it like that if ppl talk about it a lot then grin an bear it/

i think that it was a fucked up day n it was very sad n fucked up that a whole bunch of people including firefighters n innocent people got hurt n killed for no reason. but you're right, there have been so many more deaths in america from simple allergies in 1 year then 9/11 i think that the media is taking it way too far.
