I've got muslim friends and my work now takes me to many different islamic nations.

I mix and work with highly educated and enlightened muslims who are experts in their fields and are really good company.

There is this one thing that irritates me about them. When there is an atrocity(?spelling) carried out by an islamic fundamentalist group. There is little or no condemnation from these guys. There is no outrage from them, that somebody has done this in the name of their religion. Sometimes they even go out of their way to find excuses for them.

I find it odd....many in fact most protestants and catholics in northern ireland were vocally very outspoken against the IRA or UFF etc and the violence in general. This is conspicuous by its absence (to me) within Islamic nations and communities.
