Mean Internet friends

I have a group of "friends" on the internet and they are all mean. It's called a "hate site", but I am not sure what that means. I try to be nice, but they all say mean things all the time and make fun of me.

I would like to leave them but I think I am addicted to the punishment they give, is this normal?
