Am I losing it?
Recently, I have started to have crying spells. Although I fight them off, I am extremely sad. I don't know why most of the time, and when I do know why, its for some trivilant matter that has no real bearring on life.
For example, Im bowling with some friends, and chick I like gets a 95, I get a 108, Im content. Second game, I get 123, she gets a 177. I get depressed. >.> See what I mean? Should I tell my doctor (I am currently taking two different medicines, for two different reasons, that both can cause depression and suicidal thoughts.)?
Another example is, Me and my friends this morning where playing a card game, and my friend starts putting me down because I did a stupid choice. I almost start crying, and its obvious in my voice that i was about to, and said "Screw you, Im not gonna play if you keep doing this, So what If I made a mistake, f**k off" And he is like "Dont quit" Then after about 30 seconds of thinking and settling down, I say "Whatever, Ill keep playing, whatever"
Is it normal to be set off so easily?
And should I tell my doctor that the medicine im taking could be affecting me with depression?
Sisophous, respond and enlighten me!!!!
>_<
As you can see, Im not as depressed right now as I was about two hours ago >.> This website helps, but still, I could use some advice
Any medication which causes depression is very dangerous because they actually alter brain chemistry. The depression can get to a point that you no longer realise that it's the meds causing it.
If you are on anti-depressants you should discuss lowering your dosage with your doctor. Most of the current anti-depressant meds actually cause suicidal thoughts.
The advice others gave I agree with. Explain to your doctor specifically what you posted in the story. It sounds like the medication you are taking is not right for you.
I've been on the receiving end of outbursts from some young women that was completely unprovoked and later found out they were taking medication or in some instances should have been taking medication, so it isn't that unusual.
If your doctor can't help you, or you don't see positive change after approaching him/her then seek another doctor. Not all doctors are successful in diagnosing the cause of a problem or skilled in it.
It's not normal to be set off so easily, but I don't think it is a behavioral problem per say, or cognitive rather sounds like a chemistry problem with meds or taking the necessary ones.
Acknowledging your reactions is inappropriate is a first step to addressing it and resolving it. Good luck dragoon!!!!!
Back on topic....I wouldn't know if your jealous, self centered, etc. or not...But eitherway, thats not whats causing this problem.
First of all, the medication your on (for whatever it is) is probably some type of steroid. Steroids cause the release of male/female hormones into the body, and often times, both. When this happens, you become much more irritable, mean, and have higher levels of testosterone in your body, which makes men AND women very prone to being hostile.
Why do you think young boys are always picking on each other and fighting each other? The answer, testosterone, it causes them to act like animals, because they are.
If you are not satisfied with your quality of life at the moment, go to your doctor and explain your symptoms, find out whats wrong. Then, get a second opinion to verify it. I would suggest either dumping the pill case, or finding something with as few side-affects as possible.
Thats all you need to know/do. Case closed.
Is there an email address I can write to you about someone?
He killed himself in May.
=[
