Is It Normal?
What do you think?
The Witch
Every so often, usually when I’m very stressed out, I get a visit from this ‘witch’ while I’m sleeping. Her presence seems to make me jolt up from even the deepest of sleeps. The first time it happened, which was several years ago, I woke up and saw that she was at the end of my bed. As soon as she noticed I was awake, she tried to attack and strangle me. This sent me into a sheer panic, and I tried to scream but couldn’t. After about 30 seconds of this panic, I was able to turn over away from her. It has now happened about a dozen times, and I’m used to the encounters. Last night, she showed up again and I shot straight out of a dream about cats turning into cows and things to seeing her right on my bed. I couldn’t speak, or even move, but eventually she started to fade away. After she was gone, I just saw what looked like these semi-transparent germs and viruses across my entire room, and that kind of freaked me out.

I have done some reading about REM and Sleep Paralysis, and this seems to fit what I’ve been going through. I’m not sure what to do about it though. I don’t think this ‘witch’ actually exists, but every time this happens I swear she’s as real as anyone else. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? It is normal?

I don't have these experience. You should go to the doctor and ask them.
Don't know, check in wityh the doc. Maybe your house is haunted. I know my grandparents house used to be and they got it blesses by a priest and now everything is cool there.
Phone the police. You probably just have a crazy neighbour.
Yeah, at first I thought it might be a ghost, but it always happens when I'm sleeping. Definitely not a neighbour, because she usually either goes through the wall or fades away. I think it's just sleep paralysis, but it's always this same entity, regardless of what I'm dreaming before she shows up. Here is a short article on sleep paralysis if anyone is interested.
This has happened to me on quite a few occasions but I dont see witch. I feel like I am paralised and I cant move or speak and I feel like an evil presence is around me. Once there was a ghost, a large man coming towards me and he was leaning over to hit me and I couldn't scream or move and then I found myself saying the lords prayer to myself and then he vanished and then I could move again. Each time it happens to me I try and say the lords prayer and it helps me, dont know if this is actually sleep paralysis or if its temporary possession..
You should really move your mirror to another spot of the room instead of having it at the foot of your bed. Just a thought.
Na, I don't have a mirror in my room.

I've used this site to try to interpret some of my dreams. It may help you. I know what it's like to have freaky dreams. Does she have a full face? I mean, can you make out her features? Keep a tablet by the bed and make notes when you wake from one of these dreams, then do some research. Best of luck.
These aren't dreams though. More like hallucinations.
sounds like you may have a mental illness.

Talk to a doctor or if your superstitious, ask a white witch or healer to cleanse your house and room.
do you take drugs?
Na, I don't take drugs.

@: Barnum
For the last fuckin' time, I don't use drugs.
i suffer from nightly sleep paralysis, and night terrors.... and you are right, hundreds of years ago, they thought it was because a witch was sitting on you, or old hag syndrome. minipress works well for this.
Same thing happens to me man! I swear!!!! Only its not a witch, its... I cant describe it but i know im not alone. I'm not on drugs and im mentally stable. But i freeze and what happens is that my breathe shrinks like something is pressing on my lungs and i can't move my whole body, only my eyes. I try really hard to move. First time this happened to me was over 4 years ago, now i get it ocasionally twice to ten times a month. It has become something annoying but casual. I even ended up doing my short breathes sub-consiously. Sometimes i like to test this 'feeling' i get. My mother tells me its not real, but im pretty sure its real. I either hear things moving, or see blurry figures that i can't tell for sure what they are. Where i come from their called %u0643%u0648%u0627%u0628%u064A%u0633 , somewhat like nightmares. They are pretty common here. I heard they are from stress. Back to me testing the feelings, i try not to breathe, so as to see if i actually die or not, but my body ends up breathing anyway. I also tried prayer/reading from my religion, etc. Sometimes that worked, but not everytime. I must admitt that once i enjoyed one of the nightmares, i dont know how to explain it but you get this amazing sensational feeling. Hope i helped, i would love to talk further with you, just send me a messege here and i'll give you my e-mail.
I Quote: "Where i come from their called %u0643%u0648%u0627%u0628%u064A%u0633" I'm Sorry, they dont let me write in other languages, the word im using was KAWABEES.
